Overall Progress
Here's a summary of Mind Graphics' development journey over the past few months:
As of now, we're delighted to announce that we’ve completed the Engineering Verification Test (EVT) phase and transitioned into the mold manufacturing of the Design Verification Test (DVT) phase.
Next, we plan to unveil the latest prototype in March and complete the first round of trial production in April. We'll continue to strive for mass production and delivery by June, ensuring timely delivery to each of our supportive users.
Detailed Development Progress
During the EVT phase, our R&D team made fine adjustments to the product's structure and appearance, aiming to further enhance Mind Graphics' overall performance and visual appeal.
Optimized Cooling for Sustained Performance
Through rigorous testing and validation, we optimized the cooling solution to ensure consistent framerates during prolonged gaming sessions, fully taking advantage of the power of the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti graphics card without thermal throttling.
Key optimizations in the cooling system include:
Adoption of larger turbo fans with increased air pressure and volume.
Improved airflow channel structure.
Use of higher-quality cooling materials.
Performance Showcase
FurMark GPU Stress Test
Here are the specifics of thermal performance in two scenarios when running the intensive FurMark GPU stress test:
Scenario A
Ambient temperature: 22°C
Fan speed: 3500 RPM
GPU full load temperature: 75°C
Scenario B
Ambient temperature: 22°C
Fan speed: 3900 RPM
GPU full load temperature: 70°C
3DMark Time Spy Benchmark Score
Compared to the previously disclosed score (October 2023, 10994 points, from Mind Graphics Update #2), there has been a significant improvement in performance.
Gaming & Rendering Demonstration
Here is a real-time demo video of Mind Graphics running demanding games and rendering tasks, including:
Cyberpunk 2077
Forza Horizon 4
GTA V
Stable Diffusion Random Render
Aesthetic Refinement & Feature Testing
We've meticulously polished and fine-tuned the product's appearance to achieve an even more elegant look, staying true to the Khadas' design language.
Refinements include:
Fingerprint reader and volume button relocated to the left side.
Dual microphone array relocated to the left side.
Speaker relocation from both sides to the front.
* Please note that the final product's appearance and physical form may be subject to change.
Additionally, we've successfully completed testing and validation of the following features:
Mind Link to support PCIe 4.0 × 8 bandwidth When connected to Mind 2023 via Mind Link, Mind Graphics functions at PCIe 4.0 × 4 bandwidth. We're actively dedicated to the development of the next generation of Mind products, which could support a maximum of PCIe 4.0 × 8 bandwidth.
USB4 interface support We’ve achieved error-free transmission of Thunderbolt signals, allowing laptops and desktops with Thunderbolt to connect to the Mind Graphics, significantly enhancing their graphics processing performance.
Other interface updates USB-A 3.2 Gen 2, 2.5Gbps Ethernet port, Display Port 1.4a, HDMI 2.1, and other interfaces are now fully functional, allowing connections to external devices such as mice, keyboards, and monitors.
The development journey of Mind Graphics is filled with passion, innovation, and an unwavering pursuit of quality. And we feel truly honored to share this enthusiasm with you. Once again, thank you for your ongoing support, and in return, we'll continue to strive to present a product that goes beyond your expectations. We look forward to your first meeting with Mind Graphics!
